I like the idea of reminding ourselves to look back at who we were and what we were doing 1, 5 and 10 years ago. Brilliant to remind ourselves how far we have already come and therefore how much potential we still have for our future. And Darin is incredibly inspiring for anyone out there who wants to lose weight. It can be done, and CogHyp can help you do it!

I totally agree that when we try to resist negative behaviours they become stronger. So often I've found, both with myself and with clients, that when we understand the positive intention behind that behaviour, and accept that it's there for a reason, it becomes so much easier to transform it and change it.

I love the title quote. A great reminder not to get stuck in one place as we continue along our journeys.

Love that Billy Connolly quote! I was also reflecting on the Human Given's needs recently and it is lovely to be reminded of our innate resources we have to meet those, just sometimes I find we lose sight of them.

I've already expressed my interest in attending this course to you Jill. I 100% believe that all parents are doing the best they can with what they have, but sometimes their own 'stuff' gets in the way. I know it does with me! I love my three girls with all my heart, and am really looking forward to learning some new ideas and approaches to help me help them to grow up healthy and happy, loving themselves for who they are. I hope many people attend the course - it looks set to be really useful.

Fantastic! I think we could all do with taking time out from time to time and reflect on our parenting style.

I totally agree that 'strong emotion makes up stupid', and have come to the conclusion that we can think, and we can feel, but it's very difficult to do both at the same time. When caught up in a strong feeling, like feeling out of control of things in our life, it's difficult to be able to think rationally about how to solve those problems.

Thanks for this. I think it can be all too easy to make fun and people in these tragic situations and unfortunately that seems to be the initial response for most people, I find myself laughing at the joke headlines until I quickly remind myself of the fact he may well be in a painful place someone must be in to do that, or has just made a mistake like we all do.
